Your own stretch of Mill River

The RiverHouse sits on the riverfront with your own dock, looking out over the wide Mill River toward the far bank. Downriver, the Mill River opens into Cascumpec Bay and the Gulf, and the beach at Jacques Cartier Provincial Park is about 15 minutes by car. Start your mornings on the lower deck with coffee, watching the resident eagles and herons. Days are for the kayaks and pedal boat, or swinging and napping in the hammocks. Evenings end at the fire pit, with the wood and s'mores packages already stocked.

This large 2-bedroom, 2-bath home sleeps 7, with a lower-level rec room (complete with a second TV, a Pac-Man arcade game, a wooden chess set, and even a crokinole board) and a basic kitchenette, where you can keep your drinks and snacks stocked, steps from the lawn and the dock. There's also a bunkie stocked with air hockey, darts, fishing gear, life jackets and lawn games. The RiverHouse is made for slowing down and reconnecting with the people you love, whether that's two couples, old friends or family. Guests often tell us it's the best place they've ever stayed, and that they feel right at home here.

Inside the house

Bright, comfortable and fully stocked, with a big granite-island kitchen, a living room that looks out to the river, two bedrooms, two full bathrooms with the whirlpool and cedar sauna, and a cozy lower-level rec room with a Pac-Man arcade and its own kitchenette.

Life on the river

The resident eagles and herons hunt the river from dawn. Fishermen work the beds for wild oysters, and now and then a seal swims in from the bay. The tide moves, the light changes, and the sunsets over the potato and wheat fields are some of the best on the Island.

Paddle out on a still morning, or grab a thermos of coffee and head down to the dock with a good book, and just watch the river go by. It's the kind of place that lets you connect back with yourself, your friends and your family.
